[ESRI software] An option in the Environment Setting dialog box that ensures the cell alignment of the extent will match accurately with an existing raster. This is done by snapping the lower left corner of the specified extent to the lower left corner of the nearest cell in the snap raster, and snapping the upper right corner of the specified extent to the upper right corner of the nearest cell in the snap raster.
