star diagram

[cartography] A type of diagram that consists essentially of a central point from which lines radiate outward. The central point usually represents a geographic location while the length of each line represents an attribute value or ratio. The direction of the line may represent a compass direction, a period of time, or some other attribute classification. A wind rose is a common example of a star diagram.
