Digital Elevation Models (DEM) have multiple applications. It is possible to download a DEM from anywhere in the world for free from the ASTER GDEM, page, registration is required, although this is no problem.
Register and/or login with a username and password, explore and draw a polygon where you want to download the DEM, in the right panel do not forget to activate Aster Global DEM.
Select directly by means of a polygon (draw the area within a polygon), entering preset coordinates, then click on the Download Data for Defined Area button.
Then select the product (ASTER Global DEM V2). Choose the format, projection, compression, and research area in which the DEM will be used.
ASTER GDEM, was a project developed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), with the aim of building a Digital Elevation Model of the entire land surface.
The geographical location of the study area lies at 〖11〗^0 〖 24〗^’ 〖30〗^” N to 〖11〗^0 〖 27〗^’ 〖30〗^” N and 〖38〗^0 〖 15〗^’ 〖44〗^” E to 〖38〗^0 〖 17〗^’ 〖14〗^” E at altitude ranges between 2490 to 2767 m ams.l.
